Annee Puolanne
Anne Puolanne works as a Sustainability Manager at the Audiovisual Producers Finland APFI, where she promotes sustainability within Finland’s film and TV industry from practice to policies. Since 2010, Puolanne has worked as a TV freelancer in roles such as writer and journalist, and she has been one of the country’s pioneers of creating a more ecological industry.
She holds a BA in Media & Arts (2012) and BSc in Natural Resources (2020), with both theses focusing on the ecological aspects of the film and TV industry. In her role at APFI, Puolanne has trained hundreds of industry professionals and produced multiple reports, including compiling the country’s first historical overview of the topic. She has been the Head of Jury for the Verso Sustainability Award since its inception in 2022, Finland’s first and still only award dedicated to production sustainability.
In 2025, Puolanne was appointed as an EU Climate Ambassador.
