Annie joined the New Zealand Film Commission as CEO in June 2023. Her role is to champion exceptional storytellers to create enduring taonga (treasures) for New Zealand and the world. 

Prior to NZFC, Annie was a Commissioning Editor for television across a range of networks, most recently she was the Head of Sky Originals at Sky TV. There she commissioned across all genres from premium drama to children’s programmes, factual series and documentary. Notable titles include Dark City: The Cleaner, The Brokenwood Mysteries, Not Even, Uncharted with Sam Neill, Forensics NZ and many others. 

Before this, she was Head of External Programming at Māori Television and Commissioner of Children’s and Special Interest for Television New Zealand. Annie has also held various governance roles.

Academically she holds a Master of Education (First Class Hons) and a Diploma in Bicultural Journalism.
