Claire Brooks

Executive Director, Association of Film Commissioners International (AFCI) (US)

Claire Brooks is the Executive Director of the Association of Film Commissioners International (AFCI), where she leads initiatives to strengthen creative infrastructure and expand global production capacity.

Prior to AFCI, she built a career at the intersection of independent film, branded storytelling, and global strategy. She produced Exhibiting Forgiveness (Sundance 2024) and served as Director of Production at Homegrown Pictures under a first-look deal with Warner Bros. TV. At Netflix, she co-designed and launched the Emerging Filmmaker Initiative, producing five original short films. Earlier, Claire led global campaigns for brands like Nike, Google, and the Despicable Me Franchise. She also helped open the DTLA Alamo Drafthouse in 2019.

Originally from New York, she lives in Los Angeles with her husband and daughter.
