Karine Barclais is the visionary behind Pavillon Afriques, an initiative launched at the Cannes Film Festival in 2019. This groundbreaking platform highlights African talent and drives the growth of the continent’s creative industries and its diaspora.

With a background in economics and international business, Karine has extensive experience fostering international partnerships in global markets (she speaks 5 languages). She previously worked in investment advisory and the event industry. She has lived in Rwanda, Poland, Spain, and the UK and is now based in Paris, France.

Her work with Pavillon Afriques has positioned her as a key figure in promoting African cinema on a global scale. She also founded the Arts & Business Center, an online film school aimed at nurturing the next generation of creatives.

Passionate about cultural and economic empowerment, Karine continues to bridge opportunities for African filmmakers, ensuring their stories are recognized and celebrated on prestigious international stages.
