Lisa Mini

Principal Film Officer, City of Cape Town (South Africa)

Lisa Mini is the recently appointed Principal Film Officer of Film Cape Town (July 2024), a division within the City of Cape Town. She oversees the implementation of the city’s film strategy which includes promotion of the film, television, animation and game development sectors. Film Cape Town is aligned with the city’s objectives to drive economic growth, job creation and social inclusivity while promoting its world-class infrastructure and ensuring the protection of its biodiversity. 

Lisa is a film and media professional with over 20 years’ experience. Prior to joining Film Cape Town, she was the Senior Trade Manager for Creative Industries at Wesgro – Tourism, Trade and Investment Promotion Agency, promoting the film and media sectors for the Western Cape Government. 
 
Lisa holds a post-graduate qualification in Managerial Practice, from the University of Cape Town’s Graduate School of Business (GSB), professional diplomas in marketing and a certificate for the course Leading Economy Growth from the prestigious Harvard Kennedy School’s Executive Education programme. 
 
Lisa recently completed the Film Commissioners Professional Course with the Association of Film Commissioners International (AFCI).
