Melissa Heuer is an Economic Development Policy Principal, focused on supporting Amazon’s Global Media and Entertainment businesses including Amazon MGM Studios and Prime Video. Based in London with a focus on European regions, Melissa specializes in navigating government incentives aligned with investment in infrastructure, workforce development, and intellectual property. Prior to Amazon, Melissa was based in New York working in private equity at Tusk Ventures Partners. She continued to lead public policy at property tech and hospitality start-up, Sonder, ushering the company through the regulatory due diligence process of its initial public offering. A native of the Washington, D.C. area, Melissa holds a BA in Political Science from Auburn University and an MPA in International Economic and Monetary Policy from Columbia University.
