Monica Hemming-Rorvik heads Wesgro's Trade in Services team, which facilitates exports for companies in the film, media, and other service sectors. Wesgro is the Tourism, Trade, and Investment Promotion Agency for Cape Town and the Western Cape region. She was assistant manager of the Durban International Film Festival, where she led industry programs and developed a passion for nurturing talent in Africa, leading to Talents Durban.  

Her career includes roles as a film curator, board advisor, international jurist, project selector, panellist, consultant, and guest speaker. Monica fosters industry growth by creating an enabling environment for businesses navigating the fourth and fifth industrial revolutions. She is a certified African Film Commissioner and a member of the AFCI. Committed to lifelong learning, she completed Harvard University's "Leading Economic Growth," and WAVTEQ’s FDI program.

While her experience spans Africa, North America, Europe, and Asia, Monica proudly considers Cape Town her home.
